Brilliant Blazers

This week has been somewhat manic, rounding off with a visit to the vets, so I'm squeezing this post in now, just before picking up my puppy from her spay op - eek! There are even less words than normal this week - perfect for an early morning "read"!

There's nothing like a bit of online browsing and blogging (or blog reading!) to take your mind off the stressful things that life can sometimes throw at you, so let's start here with our usual inspirations:

And let the browsing begin:

Chunky Monkeys

I love that chunky boots have become a trend again (I do remember more than a few years ago that monkey boots were the thing to wear - my mum had a pair.  They looked like this

)

Swiftly back to the present and here's this week's inspiration:

those fishnet socks! - S

this sweater and skirt combo is perfect - S

amazing with midi dresses, loving the beret too - S

chunky monkeys are fab whatever their colour - S

wonderful combination of tones and texture - S

leopard and chunky boot obsession starts here -S

white jeans work all year round  with chunky boots- S

perfectly balanced - S

bringing together the checks and neutrals - S

the perfect partners - S

toughening up a patterned midi - S

just fabulous with leopard - S

monochrome delight - S

Autumn perfection - S

My personal chunky boot collection is somewhat limited, so I am always on the lookout for new additions, ones that will last and last, and be a well-loved piece in my shoe-drobe for many years to come. So I personally am focusing on quality while I search - these may carry a higher price point, but the cost per wear will reduce to minus figures over the years - fashion maths!  NB: These browsings include all price points.

Let's begin:

Toast Solovair Jade Derby Boots  💗💗💗

Kurt Geiger London Sutton Boot ðŸ’—💗💗💗

Topshop Considered Oslo Boot ðŸ’—

Dr Martens Rometty Chelsea Boot ðŸ’—💗

All Saints Lira Boot ðŸ’—

All Saints Paulina Boot ðŸ’—💗

Office Alpaca Boot ðŸ’—💗💗

Converse Goretex Boot ðŸ’— 💗💗💗

Asos Vagabond Kenova Boot ðŸ’—💗💗💗

Timberland Courmayeur Boot ðŸ’—

Grenson Brady Boot (similar to Nanette and £70 cheaper!) ðŸ’—💗

Other Stories Lace up Boots ðŸ’—💗💗

Zara Biker boot with Buckle ðŸ’—

Zara Micro-studded ankle boot💗💗💗

Zara Boot with Buckled Straps ðŸ’—💗💗

Zara boots with soft shaft ðŸ’—

M&S Hiker Boot ðŸ’—💗💗

M&S Suede Hiker Boot ðŸ’—💗

Boden Cavenham Boot ðŸ’—💗💗💗

After all that browsing, I'm now thinking how similar all these boots are! With only 3 being a colour other than black, and most having a buckle or other trim.  So,before making a choice I would suggest trying on a few pairs with outfits you already own, and looking carefully at the styling and the details of the boots to see which pair will complement your wardrobe best, to suit your individual style.

Something to keep in mind, while you shop:
