Brilliant Blazers

This week has been somewhat manic, rounding off with a visit to the vets, so I'm squeezing this post in now, just before picking up my puppy from her spay op - eek! There are even less words than normal this week - perfect for an early morning "read"!

There's nothing like a bit of online browsing and blogging (or blog reading!) to take your mind off the stressful things that life can sometimes throw at you, so let's start here with our usual inspirations:

Yes, I've finally got round to it - my very first Outfit of the Day Post!
This is actually what I am wearing today on this gloriously sunny Autumn day as I type, first this post and then my very first assignment for my Early Years Teacher Course which I started a few weeks ago (feeling nervous on this one so writing this post has provided a welcome distraction).

Summer Basic: Wonderful Wedges

Wedges.
They are so comfortable and versatile - wear them with jeans, trousers, skirts, dresses (all lengths) or shorts (if you dare) - with the added bonus of lengthening your legs by 2 or 3 inches. Fabulous!

Wedges are just so ultra practical; no sinking into lawns at Summer get-togethers or getting stuck in pavement cracks with these lovelies on your feet. Plus they are bang on trend, nodding all the way back to the 70's, and boy do they look fab with maxi dresses, cropped jeans, flares, denim skirts etc, etc.  They're definitely worth a try!

Here are my favourites from this season's high street  collections,

Wonderful Wedges

As I was browsing I came across several wedges with a lower heel and decided to include those too, for the taller ladies out there and for those for whom even a wedge heel is impractical - school run here we come! Take a look at these:

Flatter Wedges
1. PARK LANE Leopard Suede Slingback £24 Shop here
2. MINT VELVET Grey Toni Stud Strap Wedge £99 Shop here
3. PARK LANE Suede Flatform Espadrilles £50 unfortunately out of stock but Shop here for Black.
4. ZARA Printed Wedges £49.99 Shop here
5. NEXT Ankle Strap Flatform Wedges £34 Shop here
6. MARKS AND SPENCER Two Part Wedge Espadrille £18 Shop here
Maybe wedges are also good for puddle hopping? At least if you land in a shallow puddle the platform will keep your toes dry!

Happy browsing, and keep on dreaming of Summer - it is just around the corner...it's got to be surely!
