Khaki Jumpsuit, Frayed Denim and a Laundry Tip

Back in January this year whilst browsing the Mint Velvet Sale I caved in and purchased a Khaki Jumpsuit as seen here...

It is sadly now unavailable but there is a similar one here from Asos at £50,

and here from River Island at £55

.

Admittedly my khaki jumpsuit has hung in my wardrobe for several months ,unworn, but I decided to give it its first outing a few weeks back when I went over to my lovely neighbour's house  for dinner. I wore it with these leopard heels,

Similar here at TopShop for £28

and here at Asos for £36

and this denim jacket (now on Sale at 50% off if you are a small size here)..

There are similar denim jackets available at Boden here for £69

and here at Mango in the sale for £29.99

Then I gave my jumpsuit a second outing this weekend when my husband and I managed a 24 hours without the children (a VERY rare thing for us!).  On this occasion I paired it with my Next suede flats (still available here in a size 6.5 and 7) as I needed comfy but chic shoes for the afternoon and following morning as we planned to do some walking around the City of Liverpool...

Similar available here at TopShop for £28
and here at Office for £60

and my denim jacket again (cost per wear this denim jacket has really been a bargain!!)

Anyway the jumpsuit is sooo comfy I kept it on for most of  the following day, until that is, having returned home I was cooking supper and managed to flick olive oil up my right sleeve. Aaargh!! I was seriously considering purchasing a long sleeved apron to protect my clothes from cooking stains! I tried several different methods of cleaning the stains off without success and was about to give up and browse for a replacement; then I decided to consult Pinterest as I often find laundry tips on there, mostly when I do not need them of course.  Anyway I struck gold with this tip here on the northern belle diaries blog.  Using WD40, Bicarbonate of Soda and Washing Up Liquid, the olive oil splashes have disappeared and my gorgeous khaki jumpsuit is now as good as new.  Yippee!! I may well still browse for another though just in case I need a back up...

More to follow later in the week, on my jumpsuit browsing!

See you soon,

Sue
