Edit: Hush Homewear

I started buying from Hush about 14 years ago, and vividly remember wearing a pair of their floral brushed cotton pyjamas after having my second son who is now 13.  I have purchased one or two items per season over the years but recently have not been inspired to buy (apart from their wonderful leather jacket which was a birthday present from my husband last November).
This season however their range is much more tempting and inspiring and there are so many gorgeous pieces that I want to buy...NOW!

Here are my faves:

Carpe Diem Tee £35

Corduroy Dungarees £95

Heart Together Tee £35

Stripe Waist Culottes £75

Chrissie Check Blazer £89

Shelly Blazer £99

Multi Face Tee £35

Anders Revere Coat £170

Cropped Check Trousers £75

Liv Midi Dress £99

Ryder Striped Jumper £110

Melody Floral Dress £89

Ursula Maxi Dress £110

What's in store? And Other Stories

Continuing the What's In Store? series - And Other Stories you're up!  And Other Stories are always worth looking at.  They are a little more expensive than their sister-brand H&M but they have some fabulous pieces which are on trend but classic at the same time - is this making sense?! basically buy a piece this season and it will stay in your wardrobe for a few years to come.  The quality is a few steps up from H&M, hence the price point.  Although they do have great discounts in their sales so keep an eye out for these.

Anyway, let's get on.  I know I was planning on including only ten pieces from each store for this series but And Other Stories were seriously good so there are 13 - lucky for you...

1. Leopard Midi Dress.
Fab for daytime or evening. Wear with ankle boots, trainers, heels or sandals.  Layer up with a tee under it or a denim/leather jacket over it.
Leopard Print Midi Dress £69

2.  Blue Midi Dress.
Imagine with tan sandals or white trainers, and a basket bag, strolling through a French market.  Parfait!
Drawstring Waist Midi Dress £89

3. Another midi dress.
This time in red. Gorgeous.
Midi Tie Neck Dress £89

4. Printed Tee.
Subtle.  I like.  Wear with jeans and a jacket of your choice.
Lip Print T Shirt £23

5. Striped Turtle neck.
I have this. Spotted in the sale.  Great layering piece for Spring in the UK.
Striped Jersey Turtleneck was £35 now £24

6. Amour Sweatshirt.
Love the navy, love the rainbow colours of the slogan. Wear with jeans or a midi skirt or over a dress.
Embroidered Fleece Sweatshirt £49

7. Ruffle Midi Skirt.
A nod to Ganni at a fraction of the price. Well worth a try.  Pair with trainers or ankle boots.

Sheer Floral Ruffle Midi Skirt £59

8.  Chambray Frill Blouse.
I really wanted the Isabel Marant frill denim shirt last year but was too late to the party, so this looks like it could be a great substitute.

Chambray Frill Blouse £59

9.  Green Midi Dress.
Loving green dresses at the moment.  Not sure about the tie waist on this though.  Worth a try.  Fab with white trainers and a denim jacket.

Printed Waist Tie Dress £69
10. Maxi Shirt Dress.
Another day or evening dress.  Wear for either to reduce the cost per wear.

Maxi Shirt Dress £79

11.  Flower Print Midi Dress.
Half Price.  Pair with a leather jacket and chunky boots to toughen it up.
Flower Bouquet Print Dress was £89 now £44
12. Leather Star Trainers.
Half Price.  Fun but not in a too obvious way.
Star Lace-up Sneakers were £79 now £39

13. Loafers.
Every woman should have a pair of these in her shoedrobe.  Pair with some fancy socks (check out Genevieve Sweeney's socks to wear when it's too chilly to go sock-less.
Horsebit Buckle Loafers £79

Phew!  That took a while as of course I had to add a few of these pieces to my basket whilst browsing.  Too many good things to resist.

See you next time,

Leopard Love

The next key trend for Autumn/Winter 2016 on Highstreetedited is Leopard.  Leopard has cast off its "lady of the night" shady stigma and has now become an acceptable neutral in ladies' wardrobes for both work and play.  Mostly seen in accessories - you will see a lot of shoes and bags featured below - it has now made its way into our main outfit pieces, dresses, skirts, jumpers and coats, and boy does it look good.
Let's start with some style inspiration from Pinterest...
