Summer Basic: the Espadrille

I'm not really a big fan of the Espadrille.  I bought a pair of black lace H&M ones last Summer wore them once then sold them on Ebay as I really wasn't that keen and they weren't really very comfortable.
However,  I have seen a few pairs this season that have caught my eye but I hadn't been tempted to make a purchase until a few days ago when reading a post from blogger Stylonylon which included these beauties from Seven Boot Lane,

At £70 they are certainly not cheap and are more expensive than I would pay for a standard pair of Espadrilles, but they certainly do NOT look like a standard pair of espadrilles do they? And if they did happen to end up on my feet, I would just hate it if they were to get wet and/or sandy on the beach. Anyway they are sadly outside of my current budget but they will remain firmly on my Wishlist .(translates to "I will be visiting Seven Boot Lane regularly to drool!)

I have since noticed these from Zara which at £39.99 are more purse-friendly

I'm not so sure about the pointed toe but the tobacco shade of leather would look fabulous with Summer whites or blue denim Cropped jeans or cut-off shorts. Maybe worth a try?

Then in Next today I spotted these at £45,

I love their colour and do quite like the white cleated sole which gives it more of a "flatform" look and will definitely prevent the sole from fraying. My OCD alter ego though is worrying about the white sole becoming dirty after the first few wears.. Will push that thought away and try them anyway methinks...

Which of the 3 would you choose?

Have a great weekend,

Sue
